Tom and I went for a walk on Horsell common in order to find a couple of photo locations for our wedding day! It's beautiful and literally round the corner from my house, where the reception will be!

Whilst on our little holiday we explored a lot of charity shops. Here are a few of my finds.

EASTER IN THE SHEPHERDS HUT

Having a 5 day 'weekend' in celebration of Easter has been perfect to say the least. Tom has 2 weeks holiday from work, so has been staying down here with me. Having 5 days off together is rare and therefore we decided to attempt to fit as much as possible into our time together. So we made a spontaneous trip down into the Sussex countryside, whilst we were on the drive down I found the sweetest little place to stay just outside of Chichester. It was a converted old shepherds hut, you will see in the pictures below. We visited Winchester, Chichester, Salisbury, Portsmouth, saw lots of cathedrals, and generally just wandered around. We ate lots of good food, went for walks in the countryside including a late night trek down dirt tracks in order to find a pub, the walk home in the dark was interesting.

On Easter morning I made us fresh croissants and tea in the hut for breakfast. After which we went out to visit Stonehenge, which is so amazing! Unfortunately we did get caught in a lot of rain, and by a lot I mean I have never been more soaked in my life. You will be able to see from the photos below, my make up literally streaming off my face.

All in all we had such an amazing time, saw a lot of beautiful places and celebrated the real meaning of Easter together, which of course was the most important part of the weekend.

NATIVE ROSE

I took these photos of beautiful Monica a couple of weeks ago, when we received some beautiful new pieces at work from Native Rose. LONDON SUNDAY

On Sunday I went out for breakfast with an old friend, Hannah. Our 10:30am breakfast lasted around 5 hours, so was definitely a personal breakfast record. After that I met up for sangria and mojitos with another old friend, Jess. 

I loved every moment with both of these beautiful girls. It's impossible to spend time in either of their company and walk away without feeling uplifted and inspired. It made me incredibly thankful for the amazing people I have in my life.

WEDDING: PHOTOGRAPHER

Since I stumbled across the Instagram of India Hobson, I knew that she had to be our wedding photographer. Her work is outstanding. Clean lines, shadows, minimalism. India has the ability to make a coat hanger or a radiator look completely stunning. Therefore I am over the moon that she will be capturing all the special moments of our day, as I know she will do a beautiful job. As well as being a very talented photographer, she is also a lovely lovely person, huge bonus. Some of India's photos can be found in the latest addition of Kinfolk, and they are of course beautiful! Only 20 weeks now until our wedding, and it couldn't come any sooner.

WHAT I WORE

I am still in love this black crochet dress. Probably because it's one of the most versatile pieces I own. Wearing it on it's own, with a polo neck underneath, oversized jumper over it, unbuttoned shirt, or a kimono. It looks amazing whatever, and feels like a new outfit every time.
